“Whoever offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and I will reveal the salvation of God to whomever continues in my way.” Psalms 50:23.
Even another edition of THE FESTIVAL OF JESUS’ PRAISE has successfully come and gone but its blessings and promises of destiny restoration, preservation, and global manifestation that came with it were permanent in the lives of the people. This is the belief of parents who attended the annual festival filled with praises unto Jesus.
Saturday 16, December was a dance-filled thanksgiving praise to Jesus at Olam Hall, Magboro. The programme, which was designed through the inspiration of God, made parents come together and glorify Jesus on behalf of their global leaders of tomorrow.
The CEO of Champions International Schools and convener of the programme, Mrs Abosede Adekeye made the Bible reading which was taken from the book of Daniel 3:19-30 after the Champions Staff Choir (CSC) opened the programme with praises to Jesus and presented their sweet melodious hymns.
The Bible reading was however about how God delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego from the burning fiery funace. “[28] Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!” She read on. “[30] Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon,” she submitted and prayed for the congregation. She also said that the purpose of the programme was to thank God for all what He had done in the lives of the parents and their children.
However, Mr. Fola Adekeye who is the Director of Studies at the school believed that it is God’s covenant with the school that whenever parents gather to praise Him on behalf of their children, He will release fresh excellent spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding upon the children. Therefore the programme is always organized for the children through their parents to fulfil the convenant and to thank God over all beings in Champions Schools. He had posted two days prior to the programme, “At Champions, we believe that God teaches our children by His most excellent Spirit. Before our very eyes, He yearly turns them into excellent children so join us on Saturday, December 16, inside Olam Hall to praise the God of little children.”
In his ministration, Pastor Emmanuel Kelani made known the advantages and blessings of giving thanks to God. Extracting his Bible verse from Luke 17 which was about the ten lepers God healed and only one came back to give thanks. He encouraged the congregation to always find time to give thanks to God for all His wonderful deeds.
The two guest artists, PSALMOS, and SEGUN ONILEOLA and his Ekiti Cultural Praises magnified the event to its peak. They brought out the energetic dance of the grateful Champions’ parents present at the gathering. On their dancing shoes and with grateful hearts, they all showed their gratitude unto God.
Champions Music Academy was also at their best performance praising God in the beauty of His Holiness. Parents’ WAZOBIA Choir also came with praises that are culture rich in Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa to show the beauty of God in diversity. Children of Champions’ presentation was also filled with glorious praises to God. With the sweet sound of their voices, God’s goodness was also mightily appreciated by the School’s Praise Team.
To close the event, vote of thanks was said by the Principal of the Senior College, Mrs. Oredola and shared the grace of God which brought the program to an end.
