In the community and beyond, Champions International Schools is known for its formidable moral and value-based education as well as her selfless community and humanity service to promoting oneness and bringing hope and life to the downtrodden and the disheartened.
Mrs Shobowale, the parent of Shobowale Fareed in JSS 1, on Saturday 26th November, 2023, while expressing her gratitude via telephone conversation, highlighted the school’s remarkable commitment to the academic successes of the students. “It is obvious that champions schools is the best,” she said.
The phone call which lasted for about 34minutes and some seconds was full of appraisal of the school. Owing to the obvious improvement she observed since her son joined the school, especially in Mathematics and English Language, she could not curtail her appraisals.
The woman, who called from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) revealed to Mr. Abegunde, a Global Leaders Newspaper correspondence and her son’s class and English teacher, said she had once worked for Champions Schools 10 years ago. She mentioned how amazing and kind the CEO of the school and her husband were and still are. In her words, “I am convinced that Mr. & Mrs. Adekeye’s calling is to groom children and shape them into valuable personalities in the society, guiding them to excel in every areas of their lives. Helping people generally is what they enjoy doing.”
Mrs. Shobowale was the Student Affairs Officer 2010/2013, and Yoruba Language/Islamic Studies teacher and also the class teacher for JSS 2B at that time. She further revealed, “I remember when I was working for Champions, there was a time when the school was replacing the students’ wooden chairs and tables with plastic ones. If they had sold the wooden chairs and tables, the proceeds would have aided in buying the new plastic ones but I was surprised when they gave all out for free to members of the community.”
Recalling the recent event at Mr. Fola Adekeye’s home town, she cherished his selfless services to humanity. “I read that he and his wife Mrs. Bose Adekeye went to Ayedun town to improve the schools’ academic standard and gave all the students school bags and writing materials for free. God of little children will bless them,” she said.
She said the standard of the school has further improved since she traveled and commended the management of the school for their effort to making the school the best in the community. She also attested to the fact that the quality of the school is far above the financial value being charged.
After a detailed feedback from the class teacher, about her son’s class performances and participation, she appreciated him with a gift and extended it to all the staff in the Junior College. She however stated her reason for putting her son in Champions Schools, “I want him to excel and stand out, that is the reason I want him in that school.”
She adores the school, discribing the owner’s passion for children as a true calling from God. She prayed that the blessings of God continue to multiply in her family.
Also, during the last open-day that was observed in the Junior College, while speaking with Mr. Abegunde, Mrs Hussain, whose son, Hussain David, started in JSS 1 and now in JSS 3, commended Champions teachers for their special interest in her son, making him better in his academics. According to her, she was worried about her son’s performance before coming to Champions. “His improvement is gradual but not insignificant,” she said.
She therefore expressed her gratitude over the improvement of her son so far commending the close relationship Champions teachers establish with students to knowing them well enough and knowing how to help them where they are lagging. “Champions Schools is amazing in every sense,” she concluded.
