Students of Champions International Schools came out beautifully to celebrate Africa’s rich cultures. The month of June was a colorful one at CIS as students displayed beautiful and colourful attire representing different African countries: Congo, Cameroon, South Africa, Algeria and Sierra Leone.
The seniors paved the way for their juniors after they had celebrated their cultural day on the 5th of June, 2024. The Junior College and the Primary School celebrated theirs simultaneously on the 12th of June, 2024. The events started with activities that resonated glamour making the day culturally splendid.
After the official appearances of the five countries represented, including Congo, Cameroon, South Africa, Algeria and Sierra Leone, each of the countries sang her national anthem; displayed her dance and drama; exposed her cultural attire, and food varieties.
At the end, the students not only had fun but also learnt so much about other country’s cultural heritage and beliefs. Check highlights of the event in the following pictures:
