Mr. Fola Adekeye, our own DS, has won the ILLUSTRIOUS SON OF AYEDUN AWARD. The Mega Brothers’ Club of Ayedun honoured him with the prestigious award at its award night and end of the year gathering last month.
The award which was presented to him in his hometown, Ayedun, by the Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olusegun Rotimi, the Paramount King of Ayedun Kingdom took place at Beloved Hotel in the town.
The award recognises his dedication and commitment to the development of education in his hometown.The Mega Brothers’ Club praised his leadership, team spirit, and unwavering support for children development.
Mr. Fola Adekeye popularly known as Fola Oyinbo in Ayedun community was an editor at Newswatch Magazine with several media awards in his bag in and outside the country. He is now the Director Of Studies at Champions International Schools, a place he dedicates for grooming children to becoming global leaders and affecting the lives of youths to turning Global Champions.
Moral uprightness, discipline and Godliness are his teachings to the young men and women who are striving and determined to succeed. His deeds are no contrary to his teachings, no wonder many look up to him.
Furthermore, Mr. Fola has emphasized to many on how to go about life in most of his published books. In his recent work, CONTROL YOUR CLOCK, he unveiled the secrets on how to get the best out of life. Inspiring the young ones to overcome the powers that locked them up in their insufficiency, he suggested ways to the light, so they can stand out among their peers. Many more are embedded in the new exceptional work.
However, the intent behind the recognition accorded him goes beyond mere recognition as an elite in the community. It is a tribute to his contributions and great ideas, especially towards the recent and first of its kind five-day Educational Summit which has greatly improved the education sector of Ayedun community. The summit which was convened by Fola who gathered 30 of his friends to influence the poor education of the community gave hope to the children, providing them school bags, books, writing materials, and improving the schools’ infrastructure and equipping them to enhance quality education. The summit was however planned to hold every two years.
His wife, Mrs. Abosede Adekeye, CEO Champions International Schools, Magboro, was with him while they joyfully received the award together from the Royal Majesty of Ayedun Kingdom. The High Chiefs, Chief Imam, friends and families of Fola Oyinbo were also in attendance.
He however dedicated the award to JESUS and school children in Ayedun. “I dedicate this award to JESUS and school children in Ayedun”, he said. Giving his appreciation, “Thank you, JESUS! Thank you, Kabiesi! Thank you, Ayedun Council of Chiefs! Thank you, Chief Imam! Thank you, Mega Brothers’ Club! Thank you, my friends!”, he said.
