The problem of examination malpractice has lingered on for decades among societies, nations and the entire world. It is a problem that needs to be tackled and handled with seriousness. One can find this lugubrious act in all teaching or educational sectors. This menace has turned education to a game instead of a call to knowledge in the society.
Many strategies have been employed to battle this nightmare and cleanse the hearts of youths from examination malpractice. This is the main reason we have mediocrities who become greenhorns in their professions.
One of the dangers of examination malpractice is bad government. Novices who got to higher positions through series of malpractice tend to be bad leaders as they don’t have good values instilled in them. In their typical attitudes, they appoint and delegate jobs to low-intelligent people to man crucial positions who devalue or deface the integrity of any organization.
Also, bad image is another effect of examination malpractices. For instance, if anyone is arrested for examination malpractice, it will go down in history that the person has been criminalized for a certain awkward offence. This crime will hunt the person anytime he or she tries to get VISA or get an international recognition. Also, it may contribute to the person’s inability to get a reasonable thing to do in life thus unemployment putting the person in danger of wreck or death.
Furthermore, examination malpractice can lower one’s self-esteem. People who get to certain position through malpractice find it difficult to compete healthily with others who never toiled the path of malpractice. Also, it becomes hard for anyone who engages in malpractice to show confidence because their crime continues to hunt them.
Without doubt, we can conclude that examination malpractice has eaten deep and its dangerous to the development of our educational sector and nations as a whole. Educational officials or teachers in our schools should be stern in making sure students shun away from this devilish act. Also, the government and stakeholders should form a force against examination malpractice to make our nations and societies free from this insanity.
